Starting from Munich

This vibrant and exciting city is set in the middle of some of Europe’s most beautiful countryside.

It’s famous for great beer served in huge tankards, oompah bands, Lederhosen, Dirrndl and the Oktoberfest.

Munich is Germany’s third largest city and people come here for its night-life, shopping, art, quirky architecture, and it’s famous for ultra-modern high-tech companies. But many people think it’s one of the nicest cities in Europe to live in. The locals call their attitude to life “Gemütlichkeit”, which means being laid-back and comfortable.

Munich is also is the perfect base from which to explore football in the south of Germany.

Home to the world-famous FC Bayern München, the city also boasts another iconic club – TSV 1860 München.

And if you are prepared to travel, there are plenty of interesting teams and lovely cities a short train journey away.
